Mrs. Hiett dance classes and Silver Spurs will perform the second annual Dance Spring Show held on Sat. May, 16. The themed show On Broadway starts at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students with an ID and $5 for adults.
“Broadway gives us an exciting mix of character costumes, music, and dance genres,” Mrs. Hiett said.
The classes have worked on their performance for three months perfecting and finalizing their routine.
“I choreographed some as well as the officers, Dance class individuals and some come straight from the musicals,” Mrs. Hiett said.
The show presents 23, something different for everyone. Performing Now a days from Chicago, Mama Mia from Mama Mia, Sun Rise Sunset from Fiddler on the Roof, and Hard Knock Life from Annie.
“It will be a mix of type of dances and music for all taste,” Mrs. Hiett said.
Hiett expects the PAC to be a full house based on last year’s numbers and because more dancers will perform.
“It will be similar to last years show, and it will be fun, everyone should attend,” Mrs. Hiett said.
Mrs. Hiett is having the show filmed and will be available on DVD.
“I think it gives students a good experience to be able to perform in front of an audience,” sophomore Morgan Cawley, Dance I student said. “And to know how it feels to be a part of something.”
