How To Become A VSCO Girl

Jaden+McKinnon+writes+about+the+VSCO+girl+trend+
Jaden McKinnon writes about the VSCO girl trend

Inescapable from Tik Tok, Instagram and the rest of the internet, VSCO girls have become a real-life meme. VSCO comes from the photo edit app known for its aesthetic filters and post. Girls and Boys all over have one goal, to become the ultimate VSCO queen.

Scrunchies
The 80’s and 90’s trend made a way back to the 2000s. Although many people use scrunchies as a normal hair tie, VSCO girls use them as a way of life. They stay on their wrist for looks and they must have one on at all times.

HydroFlasks
A normal water bottle won’t hold up to the standards The girls can use the cap on the water bottle as a base to make friendship bracelets.  Don’t forget to decorate the bottle with an aesthetic sticker that describes one’s personality.

Save The Turtles
Because saving the turtles remains on the same scale of global warming, inequality, poverty and war, as a VSCO girl make sure to never use a plastic straw, metal straws only. If found using a plastic straw, they will be exiled from the VSCO community.

Clothing
If you ain’t crocin then you ain’t rockin. If you’re not birkin you ain’t workin. The overpriced but comfortable shoes, Birkenstocks, will complete the look of the VSCO girl. But a cheaper option, Crocs, remains just as VSCO worthy. Leave the crop tops and tight fit shirts in the closet and instead go to a local thrift shop and find oversized shirts.
