Bronco Club Council Coming Soon

While still in the planning stages, Bronco Club Council plans to maximize all extra-curricular activities’ schedules.

Mrs. Schimming and Mr. Wright have worked on the idea with the hope of making all the clubs more efficient and look forward to the positive effects it will have. Mrs. Schimming developed the original concept for the idea.

“It’s really cool, and I think it’s something we’ve really been lacking. I’m looking forward to it,” Schimming said.

Bronco Club Council will provide a place for all sponsors, presidents, and vice presidents of all clubs and organizations to discuss ways to make all their events work together without conflicts. Senior Riley Reidmiller, Key Club President, believes the council will help get bigger and better projects done throughout the school, such as the recent cooperation between Key club and Interact Club in the Vernon Newsom Change Drive.

“I think it’s really great because it will enable more people to help and get more organized,” Reidmiller said. “It’s a good idea.”

Following the plans for increased communication, the council itself also requires additional planning beforehand. Finding a time for potentially dozens of participants to all meet is a daunting task, but Mr. Wright believes it will work out if enough warning is given beforehand.

Senior Clarke Rahrig, NHS President, looks forward to being able to work together with other clubs and get more projects done.

“It will be good that there’s a way for each president to know what all the others are doing. We’ll be able to join forces and work together to get even more things done,” Rahrig said. “Plus doing more and working together will be good advertising for all the clubs.”

From planning dances to keeping three clubs from all having the same cookie dough fundraiser, Bronco Club Council plans to keep your schedule overlap-free within the next few months.

“I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of face it takes on this year and hopefully next.” Mr. Wright said.

Aaron you did a great job with this article, but I want to give credit where credit is due. This wasn’t actually my idea. There are many other schools in Texas that have this type of club and it has been very successful. So we are just adopting what has already been done. I am not THAT creative!!! Thanks and keep up the good work. Schimmy 🙂
