The Legacy varsity volleyball team will host a volleyball clinic on Oct. 12 from 8:30 a.m to 11 a.m in the school gyms. Head volleyball coach, Amanda Shingleton, decided to host the volleyball clinic for the first time.

This is our first year to host this clinic,” Shingleton said. “We decided to make this one of our community service projects because the varsity players will be teaching and running the clinic.”

Only students in the third to sixth grade can sign up to attend the free clinic. They will learn fundamental volleyball skills such as passing, setting, hitting, serving and defense. The suggested items to bring and wear include a water bottle, court shoes, knee pads, athletic shorts and a t-shirt.

We will demonstrate and practice the basic skills and finish the clinic with competitive games that incorporate all skills learned,” Shingleton said.

Registration for attendees will cut off after 60 students sign up to limit overcrowded courts and ensure quality instruction. The volleyball team will not accept any walk-ups on the day of the clinic.

Star Wars is the best movie because the mix of science that encaptures the audience into a child-like state of wonder alongside fiction that tells the tale of an adventure that is able to romantically describe the problems of life into the idealism that good and evil can be simplified into two sides.
