Why We Do It
“I play tennis because my parents encouraged me to as a young kid and to hopefully go to college for it.” Brayden Martin, 11.

Time/Days/Where We Meet
Tennis meets at the Legacy tennis courts every day after school. Fall Varsity matches are Tuesdays after school and JV matches are Thursdays after school.

What Other Students Think We Do
“Other students think we just stand there and dink balls over. We actually practice and work hard for 2 and 1/2 hours every day.” Abby Carpenter, 11.

What Our Parents Think We Do
“My parents think we play matches against each other, run drills and goof off and play pranks on each other.” Mia Retnam, 12.

What We Really Do
“Students are right into what tennis is, but it is way oversimplified. Like I said, there is so much more in the game. There is which type of spin you put on the ball, the force put on the ball and much more.” Owen Hurst, 9.
