My fingernails dug into the armrests of my seat. I hunched forward as the opening credits illuminated my face. Drool slowly dribbled down from my open mouth. It had begun.
Three very sexy, extremely good-looking men were on the screen before me. Ryan Reynolds’ and Hugh Jackman’s perfectly toned bodies, and Dominic Monaghan’s beautiful eyes should have easily distracted me. But my only thought was, “thank God, Rogue isn’t in X-Men Origins.”
The Canadian actress, Anna Paquin, plays Rogue and in all the X-Men film. Not only does she have a terrible accent, the portrayal of Rogue is terrible in all three films. First of all, Rogue did not become part of the X-Men in the very beginning, she was adopted by Mystique. But that’s not really the part that gets to me.
Rogue is supposed to be cool, not a weak little girl who can’t do anything. She never even tries to control her powers and accept her lifestyle, that’s not the Rogue I remember from the cartoon. Anna Paquin’s Rogue complains and cries, but for some reason still fights along side great mutants like Wolverine and Storm. She’s totally useless in these movies; all she does is take people’s powers to protect herself.
Last week, when I saw The Last Stand for the first time I wanted to give Bobby a high five for flirting with Kitty. But at the end, I was disappointed; Rogue had lost her powers and she wasn’t dead.
If I was Kitty I would walk through Rogue every time I saw her because she deserves to be neglected.

I figured I’d list some other technical screw ups.
Cyclops is supposed to be older than Gambit.
His beam doesn’t burn things, it sends them to another dimension.
He doesn’t die. In Fact he has a son later on.
Wolverines mind was erased right after the operation.
Dead pool was a (mostly) good guy who had to kill mutants to take their powers.
He didn’t have katanas that came out of his hand.
And Jubilee only made on appearance in the first movie, in the deleted scenes section.
