On Nov. 11 Mr. Davis saved my life for the third time.
No, I was not about to die on that day, but my parents would not have been very happy with me and might have killed me. I don’t know.
I survived the whole day and when the bell rang I looked for my keys but they were gone. I went back to my first and second block class. They weren’t there. I began freaking out. (After talking to Shack I remembered I needed to get my Jello from Mr. Davis.) I walk in his room and he holds up my keys.I was so excited I didn’t even care about the jokes he was cracking making fun of my lack of responsibility. After getting my Jello I realized this marked time number three he saved my life.
The first time he saved my life I had only been in his class for two weeks. Friday morning my car had trouble starting but I drove anyway. I had discussed with Mrs. Lowry before I left how my car might not start so she made sure I had her number so I could call her for help. Sure enough I turn my key and all I hear is click, click, click. I thought I was about to cry. I called Mrs. Lowry and she went to Davis. Mr. Davis then walked out and pulled his car next to mine. I was so embarrassed. A million different things went though my mind about how Mr. Davis jump starting my car at the beginning of the year would affect our teacher student relationship. I didn’t want him remembering me as the girl whose car died, but I over reacted, because the teachers at Legacy are awesome.
The second time Mr. Davis saved my life was the class period before a test. The class was so hard it made me pass out. Just kidding, I gave blood earlier at 10:00 and at 2:00 I told Mr. Davis in the middle of a physics problem I felt “funny.” That is basically all I remember but Mr. Davis told me what happened.
He said, “Like ‘haha’ funny, or go to the nurse funny?”
I replied, “Go to the nurse.”
He asked, “Do you need somebody to walk with you?” and before I could answer I fell sideways. Luckily my class mates caught me.
When I woke up, I was being sat up by my classmates. and I had no idea what happened. I heard Mr. Davis talking to the office, telling the nurse to come and save me.
I feel lucky to go to a school with awesome teachers that care not just about you turning in a lot of papers, but teachers who care about you as a person. Mr. Davis definitely belongs here . Who knows where I would be today without him?
