Itchy wool sweaters, stiff rain coats and suffocating turtle necks fill student’s closets as the cold fronts fill our weather reports. Avoiding the either uncomfortable or unattractive cold weather clothing can be tough, but it is possible.
Lumberjacks have roamed about the halls. Flannels are all the rage, so don’t be afraid of joining the woodcutters. Just throwing on a cozy flannel can set the scene for a wonderful winter day.
If you want a classy look, then investing in a pea coat would be a wise decision. It’s a chic look that can find its place in just about anybody’s wardrobe. They can be found in almost every color, but the classic black pea coat is a must.
Now scarves can be a touchy subject. Those who don’t appreciate the art of accessorizing will sometimes comment on scarves being a pointless accessory. I, on the other hand, am a full supporter of the scarf. Not only will it keep people nice and warm, it can spice up any otherwise bland outfit.
Shoes can be one of the most versatile parts of an outfit, but options start to slim down in cold weather. Instead of endless amounts of sandals, flip flops and strappy heels, finding a way to keep the feet warm and stylish are necessary. Boots are always a smart choice in the chilly seasons. They can be found in any shape or color: cowboy boots, ankle boots, knee high boots, leather boots, suede boots, the list goes on.
The most important rule of fashion: creating a style. Throw in some colorful suede gloves, white fluffy earmuffs, or a snug trooper hat. Fashion is an expression of oneself, so have fun with it.
