Gears of War-
Manly-Dominic Santiago: Dom definitely deserves the manly award for Gears of War. He was part of the Delta squad along with Marcus Fenix and has been through a lot over the years including loosing his children, having to kill his wife and deal with a constant locust and lambent threat. Dom really shows that he deserves it when he gives his own life to save the rest of Delta squad.
Wimpy- Richard Prescott: When, in any Gears of War game, does Prescott ever do anything productive or unselfish? Being the leader of the COG army entitles him to have certain perks, but he never portrays any of them. All Prescott did, beside nothing, was running away and that earns him the title of wimp. At least the Carmines went out fighting instead of fleeing.
Halo-
Manly- Avery Johnson: Master Chief is a cliche. Sgt. Johnson deserves the title of most manly because he is the epitome of manly. He runs into battle right next to Master Chief, with less armor and no helmet, and destroys everything. He also literally can’t die. He can take a Spartan Laser to the face and then kill everyone in the room before they know what happened.
Wimpy- Dare: The first question going through your head; “Who is Dare?” Dare was in ODST, but she wasn’t there for the entire game. She lost her helmet when the drop ships crashed and then disappeared while an animated Nathan Fillion ran around New Mombasa trying to find her. At the end of the game you find her in a room just chilling there with an alien. The biggest waste of time ever.
Red Dead Redemption-
Manly- Bonnie McFarlane: If Bonnie isn’t the most manly character in Red Dead Redemption, then the whole game consists of a bunch of ladies. Everything that gets thrown at Bonnie she either dodges or just brushes it off. She was the only person with her head straight during the stampede and when zombies ate her dad in Undead Nightmare, she just kept on fighting.
Wimpy- Jack Marston: Jack got redemption for his father after he died. It doesn’t count though because he shot him while he was fishing. Besides that, Jack is just annoying. Jack constantly reminisces about his father and doesn’t have any thoughts of his own. He always says “Just like ya taught me paw” even though his dad died when he was 12 and he’s like 30 now.
Saints Row-
Manly- Johnny Gat: What makes Gat manly? The fact that never wants to quit fighting. And the majority of the time, instead of taking the easier way out, Gat would rather run in guns a-blazing. He survived a fatal wound from a Katana kept the S.W.A.T. at bay by himself while you went and fought Vogel. If there is a manlier man than Gat in Saints Row, well, it’s your character.
Wimpy- Dex: Dex barely ever fights his own battles. He always sends people to do his bidding instead of manning up and doing it himself. In Saints Row 2 he even sends a special military team to try and kill you. After his military team becomes “decommissioned” Dex gets on an airplane and leaves Stillwater.
Assassin’s Creed-
Manly- Catarina Sforza: A cameo but still manly. Catarina mans up and faces the Borgia’s all by herself after her capture. She gets into a yelling fight with Lucrezia Borgia and then spits in her face. Lucrezia slaps her right afterwards but that’s besides the point. After Ezio liberates Catarina from her jail cell and puts Lucrezia inside, Catarina slams Lucrezia’s head into the bars.
Wimpy- Desmond Miles: Desmond lays in a machine for the entire span of the series. Must I explain more?
