With the arrival of autumn, several television networks premiere both recurring and debut shows. The 2012 fall season has a variety of genres, appealing to fans of comedy, action, thrillers, dramas and horror.
The Walking Dead:
With feral reanimated humans rising from the dead to prey the living, former sheriff Rick Grimes struggles to find and lead his family to safety. Months of being on the run after the climax of season two, his group of refugees finds shelter in an abandoned prison. The third season currently runs on every Sun. at 9 p.m. on AMC.
Malibu Country:
Reba Gallagher and her family relocates to Malibu, California, in an attempt to start a new life after finding out her husband was engaged in an affair. Trying to restart her musical career while adjusting to her new family life, the shows portrays the hardships of an American family struggling to cope with the recent change to their lives. Starting Nov. 2, the first season will air Fri at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
Arrow:
Based on the DC comic book hero “The Green Arrow,” Oliver Queen becomes a vigilante dedicated to fighting crime and corruption after being stranded on an island for five years. After living a life of privilege and wealth, he finally finds his purpose in the world. The show airs Wed. at 7 p.m. on CW.
How I Met Your Mother:
Ted Mosby narrates the seemingly never-ending story of how he met the mother of his children, along with the whimsical and amusing antics of his friends. The eighth season airs Mon. at 7 p.m.
Breaking Amish:
Five anabaptists leave their secluded communities to live in New York City, experiencing cultural shock and life completely different from their own. Ultimately, the Amish must choose to live in and adapt to their new homes or return to their old communities. The reality show airs Sun. at 9 p.m. on TLC.
