Cutting Edge Haunted House
The Cutting Edge Haunted House, a haunted attraction that uses a 100-year-old abandoned meat-packing plant, located in Fort Worth, Texas. Old equipment left behind is utilized throughout the different haunted rooms. The original two-story conveyor system is used to move mannequins and “butchered corpses” through the meat packing plant.
In 2009, Cutting Edge won the Guinness Book of World Records for the “Longest Walk-through Horror House.” The average time to walk through the attraction is 45-55 minutes. Hangman’s House of Horrors
Hangman’s House of Horrors, located at a 100-year-old military base, used to be a helium production plant in the 1910s. In addition to Hangman’s House of Horrors, there are many different attractions, including Hangman’s House of Horrors, The Beauty of Horror, Outbreak and Escape Labs Mission Z. The Beauty of Horror allows guests the opportunity to take photos on professionally prepared interactive sets and Outbreak!, a zombie-themed escape room experience.
Hangman’s House of Horrors just started its 36th season and is located at 4400 Blue Mound Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76106. The haunting runs from Sept. 27 to Nov. 2, ticket prices range from $39-$64 with a $10 parking fee.
Moxley Manor Haunted House
Moxley Manor provides three haunted houses for the price of one: The Moxley Manor, based on the tragic deaths of the Moxley family, 3D Haunted House Big Top Terrors and Regan’s Revenge. Moxley Manor also hosts other events during the year: Nightscare Before Christmas, Valentine’s Day Haunted House, Scream Break, Friday the 13th and Zombie Walk.
Located at 510 Harwood Rd, Bedford, TX, Moxley Manor begins their 15th season of haunting. Moxley’s was voted one of DFW’s Scariest Haunted Houses in 2022 & must-see Haunted House of 2023. For Halloween, the venue opens on Sept. 27 and closes on Oct. 31. Ticket prices range from $35-$50 and onsite parking is free.
Dark Hour Haunted House
Dark Hour Haunted House boasts frightening creatures and a bloodied-themed manor that will have guests scream louder than ever and send chills down their spines. This one is not for the faint at heart. They also offer a VIP experience called “Creepy Concierge”. Guests can become a monster and go behind the scenes and pull the strings.
Dark Hour Haunted House, located at 701 Taylor Dr, Plano, TX, opens Sept. 13 and ends Nov. 2. Tickets range from $30-$120 and parking is free.
Screams Halloween Theme Park
Screams Halloween Theme Park has five haunted houses all with their own theme. There is a live Stage with nightly performances, a food court, scary-oke (karaoke), games of skill, tarot card/palm readings, Henna tattoos and shops.
Screams Halloween Theme Park, located at 2511 FM 66, Waxahachie, TX (at the Scarborough Faire® site). It opens Friday and Saturday from Oct. 4 to Nov. 2. 2024. Ticket pricing, which includes the five haunted houses, walk-through attractions, stage shows and scary-oke, has not been posted to the website yet. However, there is free parking.
