Apple’s new Apple Intelligence is changing the game with its new “AI” features. This new feature was installed to protect people’s privacy and to get things done effortlessly. Apple Intelligence has been added to many of Apple’s new devices, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 16, iMac and MacBook Pro.
Siri was first introduced to the iPhone in 2011. Fast forward 14 years, and Siri is completely different, with ChatGPT from OpenAI integrated into Siri and Writing Tools. ChatGPT was added to Siri for “more expertise when it might be helpful for you.” Whenever the power button is held down to activate Siri, there is a new design with a glowing light that wraps around the edge of the screen. With a double tap of the screen, it is now possible to type to Siri instead of talking out loud.
Apple Intelligence has created new writing tools that can help people get new, enhanced language capabilities or get an entire lecture summarized within seconds. AI’s new writing tools were created to help “find just the right words virtually everywhere you write.”
Some of the new additions to this new feature include: summaries on long emails, smart replies in the mail app and priority notifications. Whenever a long email is received, a summary is shown at the top, giving you a condensed version of the email. Smart replies are used to quickly draft an email response with all of the right details. Priority notifications will appear at the top of the notifications, letting you know what to pay attention to.
Apple Intelligence also added a new way to express yourself by creating images with Genmoji. You are able to turn a rough sketch into an image of your liking. Genmoji allows the ability to create unique and expressive images and movies.
Apple added “richer language understanding” to make it more convenient and natural for users. Apple believes that change was necessary for Siri to make it more understanding and authentic.
AI has evolved so much over the years, and now it has been added to all of the new Apple devices. This new feature never stores your data, and it gives you a verifiable privacy promise to make Apple users more secure than ever.
