Seniors Kaitlin and Lindsey Kramer have shared a room since they were little and just recently disposed of their bunk beds. They have always been referred to as the Kramer twins until their departure of attending their first year of college nearly six hours away from each other.

Next fall,Kaitlin plans attending Texas A&M at Galveston while Lindsey stays at home to take TCC classes.

“We are always compared to each other,we don’t have our own names. Even if we are separate in the hallways it’s just ‘twins’,” Lindsey said. “I think getting out and discovering who we are with out the other one is going to be awesome.”

Their family has doubts about the girls going to different colleges, but they will continue trying to make to work.

“Every one says as twins we can’t do it,but we can. I think as a twin you have a higher bond because we are like the same person,” Lindsey said. “ I think the nerves will go once we figure out that we can do it.”

They both plan on not telling new people they meet in college that they are twins.

“Honestly,I’m not ashamed of being a twin, but I don’t want to go in and say I’m a twin.” Lindsey said. “[If I tell them] they are going to picture me as a twin instead of as a individual.”

Kaitlin and her friend will be attending and rooming together at Texas A&M at Galveston. As for Lindsey she will not know anyone at college.

“I’m just winging the whole roommate thing hopefully I can find somebody that I’m not going to be weirded out by,” Lindsey said.

According to Kaitlin, the hardest part will be being so far away.

“Being so far away will probably hard because we are so close. I might freak out because I’m used to waking up and her being there.”Kaitlin said.

They planned on going to college together for a long time, but it wasn’t until recently they decided to go to different colleges.

“We didn’t sit down have a conversation,” Lindsey said.” there were no ifs, ands or buts . That’s what we are going to do.”
