Setting meetings, writing and delivering passes, answering countless calls and questions, Ms. Katie Nance works as Principal Stephanie Bonneau’s secretary at Legacy.
“I have the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Bonneau and Mrs. Monajami each day, providing any support that is needed. I work with Department Heads to order supplies for their classrooms,” Ms. Nance said. “I feel I can be a resource of information to help teachers and staff with questions they need guidance on.”
Ms. Nance works behind the scenes. This includes things that are necessary for the school to run smoothly.
“I take pride in my work by producing the best quality and excellence I can for Dr. Bonneau and those around me,” Ms. Nance said.
Although a lot of the things Ms. Nance does for the people of Legacy may go under the radar, she comes to work every day with a great attitude and loves the work.
“I feel a passion and commitment to serving everyone at Legacy, and hope that I can leave a lasting impact on those I come into contact with each day,” Ms. Nance said.
Advanced Chemistry teacher. Chelsea Cross credits Ms. Nance for being behind the flow and success of our school.
“I credit a lot or almost all of the flow of Legacy to her,” Ms. Cross said. “Without her, I think all of us teachers would have a lot more work and be so much busier.”
Ms. Cross believes that Ms. Nance’s hardworking personality helps everybody out.
“She’s always smiling and in a good mood, which is a contagious feeling,” Ms. Cross said. “She’s very charismatic and that helps us all out.”
Ms. Nance sets goals for herself when she comes to work every day to make sure she does the most she can to help out.
“My goal is to leave someone feeling better than I found them,” Ms. Nance said. “I have a policy for myself that if I think something nice about someone, I make sure to say it. You never know what impact it could have on their day.”
The work Ms. Nance does to better the experience of attending Legacy is very appreciated.
“One of the highest honors is being recognized positively by your coworkers or peers,” Ms. Nance said. “It fills my heart, and I am so thankful to be here.”
