Mission Improv-able once again faced postponement with the arrival of the swine flu panic after overcoming bad weather conditions, lack of assistant principal attendance and One Act Play advancement.
“Improv is my pride and joy,” junior Nadley Doerge said, “and I am frustrated that new reasons keep popping up to take away the joy.”
Junior Aaron Sakowski finds the cancellations disappointing for both the audience and the troupe.
“The improv team is really good as a group.” Sakowski said. “It’s not fair that the seniors are being cheated out of their final shows.”
In the past, Improv shows endured the harshest conditions for small audiences, but the idea of the “show must go on” seems small in the face of swine flu and iced roads.
The next date for an improv show is still undetermined but students remain hopeful that it’s soon.
“People ask me in the halls when the next improv show,” Doerge said “and it’s lame because I have to tell them ‘I don’t know.’”
