In order to help raise money for Pink Fest, Mission: Improvable will host Crunk Comedy for a Cure on Oct. 6. Dressed in pink attire, Improv members will perform on stage for the increased price of $5. All proceeds contribute to Pink Fest’s battle against breast cancer.
“I think it’s important that all the departments get involved in a community outreach program,” theater teacher Ms. McIntyre said.
Each activity promoting Pink Fest are run by a chairman and a student co-chairman. According to Mrs. Schimming, she, along with the co-chairmen will also be participating in an improv skit with the troupe.
“I had so much fun last year,” Mrs. Schimming said. “I can’t wait to get on the stage this year.”
After meeting last’s year’s goal of $1,000, a new goal of $2,000 has been set. With 396 seats, a packed house will produce $1980. Donations will be accepted at the door.
“Mrs. Schimming does a good job at getting the school involved and making everyone feel it’s not just a teen leadership activity. It’s a Legacy activity,” McIntyre said.
