Rumors Proven False: Legacy not Biggest High School

Rumors that Legacy is the largest school in the state are false.

The largest schools in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area alone are more than 100,000 sq. feet larger, being 530,680 sq. feet. Although, Legacy is only 425,000 sq. feet, it holds 2,364 students and still growing from the first year opened.

“I’m proud of all the growth in Legacy,” Mr. Wright said. “Growth in school spirit and growth in Academics.”

The first year opened there were 305 AP tests taken, the number increased to 536 in 2009, compared to Mansfield with 485 test takers.
