Fall Dance Recital Encompasses All Styles

Drill Team and dance classes will hold a fall recital on Thursday Dec. 10. Curtains open at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center with free admission.

“I feel great about the show. The dancers are going to look good,” Drill Team and dance teacher Brooke Parlin said.

Mrs. Parlin expects a full crowd. With the dance styles including lyrical, jazz, tap and clogging, she hopes everyone finds a part of the event to enjoy.

“The best part will be all the different dance styles showcased at the performance,” Mrs. Parlin said.

Each class picked the song they wanted to dance to, totaling 17 dances.

“I actually know the routine to ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by Black-Eyed Peas and I’m excited to show it,” Dance III student and junior Kayleigh Sweeny said.

Well, this about seals it. In addition to an awesome school website, dance performances, and a superior-bordering-on-humorous class selection, Legacy also has an Ashley Canterbury readily available. I may just have to move to Mansfield. It’d only make sense.
