Crafts, spirit wear, jewelry and other home decorations are on sale during the Bronco Bazaar this Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Legacy’s cafeteria. Currently 45 vendors have purchased booths for the event.
“We’ve worked really hard at advertising,” Bronco Bazaar sponsor Stephanie Shackelford said, “So hopefully we’ll have a big turnout.”
The purchase of a booth costs $50, with provided tables and power outlets costing extra. All proceeds will benefit the senior class by reducing the cost of prom tickets this year.
Whittney Davis plans to attend the Bazaar with her grandma and assist her in selling kitchenware, figurines and other home appliances. Davis looks forward to reaping the benefits of her actions.
“We don’t have to pay as much for prom,” Davis said. “In the long run, it’s much better for us.”
According to Shackelford, preparing for the Bazaar has been a daunting task by managing the booths for better situating the vendors. She believes conflicts may be avoided by placing vendors selling similar items in different locations.
“If they make money they’ll come back again,” Shackelford said. “Each year builds on the previous year.”
