Fans of Philadelphia, Washington and New York will be coming to watch their rival’s stadium fall to the ground. The old Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Irving will implode on April 11 by the hands of a child after he won an essay competition.
The competition rules were to send in an essay to the Kraft Company and tell them why you should blow it up. The company reads through the essays, decides and the winner has the chance to blow up the stadium.
Sunday’s event is in public, where anyone can watch the big implosion, if they buy a ticket.
AP History teacher Brandon Austin spent 15 straight Thanksgiving Days at Texas stadium.
“This stadium is like my family,” Mr. Austin said. “It’d be like losing a grandfather, or brother or something.”
