Teen Leadership classes will sponsor Crud Night on May 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Crud Night is an event which will help raise money for teen building backpacks for various classes. Students attending Crud Night will fight through messy obstacles. Entry fee to attend Crud Night is $10 per person.
“I’m thrilled and this is important to me and my teen leadership classes,” Teen Leadership teacher Dena Schimming said.
The team building backpacks will consist of multiple events in which students can use to play games and practice team work. According to Mrs. Schimming, the backpacks will provide educational activities and fun.
“The backpacks would be awesome for special education kids and athletic clubs,” Schimming said.
Because the 12 backpacks aren’t fully funded, funds raised through Crud Night is expected to bring in the money needed.
“We have enough funding for eight back packs. I hope to raise enough money for 12 total,” Mrs. Schimming said. “It would be great.”
Sophomore Travis St. John believes Crud Night will provide entertainment and allow students to meet new friends.
“This night is for fun, outgoing people who are ready to get dirty, and they don’t care. They just want to have fun,” St. John said.
