On Jan. 29, Coach Melson “Buck Wild”, Legacy’s head football coach, will wrestle alongside MISD coaches, Mark Walker “The Terminator”, Andrew Marsh “The Marshmallow”, and Jason Pounds “Lil Peezy”. They will square off against professional wrestlers, Bullman Downs, Doberman, Max Muscles, and Pablo Chuco.
“Buck Wild never gets nervous,” Coach Melson said.“Just fired up.”
The match, presented by the Mansfield Education Foundation, with help from “Killer” Tim Brook’s North American Wrestling Allegiance (N.A.W.A) and Big Time Pro Wrestling, will take place in the Mansfield High School gym. This event called the Mansfield ISD Smackdown will begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
“The pro wrestlers will put on a fantastic show for everyone,” director of the MISD Education Foundation Linda Bacsik said. “The coaches from Timberview, Legacy, Danny Jones and T.A. Howard are going to battle four big, tough pro wrestlers for the main event. Who will win? You can’t miss this event.”
All MISD middle and high school campuses, the MISD Education Foundation office and Texas Trust Credit Union have tickets on sale.
