Student Council, journalism along with other clubs and organizations will combine talent and create another Lip Dub for LUCK Week adoptee Parker Lee Shackelford.
Practices are on Thurs., Feb. 23, Tues., Feb. 28 and Thurs., March 1 and run from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. Final filming will take place on Tues., March 6 at 2:45 p.m. and has an undetermined end time.
This will be Legacy’s second lip dub experience. The first was done for the 2011 LUCK Week candidate, Ethan Hallmark. The video’s hits add up to over 100,000 and can be seen on Vimeo YouTube, SchoolTube and Bal4 TV.
“Last year’s lip dub was a hit for us and other schools,” Journalism Adviser Leland Mallett said. “You could read the comments and see that we that we made an impact and had fun.”
Lip dubs combine lip syncing and audio dubbing to make a music video. Student Council and Legacy Student Media hope to get as many clubs and people involved as possible.
“I think it’s the second time for us to do it so it’s going to be even bigger and better,” Senior and Senior Class President Elizabeth Kobty said. “Everyone saw the one from last year so the school involvement will be even larger too.”
