Throughout the 33,000 students that Mansfield ISD holds there are more than 110 languages spoken. The wide variety of cultures throughout the district deserve to be celebrated. This year’s fourth annual MISD Multicultural Festival showcases student backgrounds and exhibits the diversity among our district.
The Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts will hold this year’s Festival on Saturday, February 27. Mansfield ISD’s Multicultural Festival celebrates the different cultural backgrounds found among the students.
“The festival gives us the opportunity to experience diversity within cultures,” Assistant Principal Mr. Leonard Cousins said.
The Center will provide many family-centered activities, such as origami, henna tattoos, and food tasting. Students will perform various activities from cultures worldwide. Most exhibits are hands-on for children and adults. All activities and performances are free, so be sure to attend this fun event to experience the international fun.
“Everyone needs to come and experience the fair,” Cousins said. “Otherwise you are cheating yourself of a must-see event.”
