During the week of April 3, sticky notes, clothespins and other items with motivational notes on them will be posted around the school. The campaign, Bronco Bold (Bring Others Love Daily), by Julie Daniel’s Teen 2 class, dedicates an entire week to spreading kindness and anti-bullying across the campus. The students have a different project planned for each day of the week to spread encouragement to their fellow students.
“I really like Bronco Bold because in high school we all have our own groups we hang out with. It helps us come together as a student body and spread happiness.” Rylee Loveland, 12, said.
The teen leadership class aims to end bullying and encourage students to recognize each other in a positive light through this project. The cafeteria will house a wall of sticky notes, accessible to students, for the purpose of taking and spreading the mini-encouragements.
“I love that we do this week,” Ms. Daniel said. “I think it’s a neat thing for the students to be involved with.”
As a class, Teen 2 came together to create T-shirts that go with this years theme: Take a Stand, Lend a Hand. The shirts are black with multicolored hands on them. If you didn’t pre-order one, a few are left and currently being sold in the StuCo store for $10. There will be a Bronco Bold pep-rally Friday, April 8 that will also incorporate spring sports.
