In elementary schools across the country, students collect Box Tops with the help of their PTA. With $300 million in revenue collected since the organization began in 1996, schools have a good chance to raise money. Legacy should step up and help our elementary schools by collecting Box Tops.
The money raised by the Box Tops organization has helped buy supplies for over 90,000 schools in the United States. With 2,341 students attending Legacy all in cooperation, money could easily be raised for the school and even other high schools in the Mansfield district. The Box Tops’ slogan “1 can make a difference” is a motto to the organization and is very true; just one Legacy student can make a difference but the more that help, the easier it is to raise money.
To achieve this goal, help is needed. Our PTSA or any other organization should help with this project. It could be easy for them to help students collect the Box Tops with a form of contest or reward system. According to boxtops4education.com , a coordinator is suggested for the project but one is not required for it to work. If any club is interested in picking up this role, they can help just as much as the PTSA. The student body should come together and collect Box Tops, because by helping the school they can also be rewarding themselves.
