Taylor Swift thrives as a 33-year-old pop star with ten albums she started releasing in 2006. Because Taylor started her career so young, she signed the rights to record label Big Machine Records, which later transferred to Scooter Braun. All of the re-recorded Taylor’s Version albums belong entirely to her. Taylor continues traveling internationally on The Eras Tour, featuring a three hour set list with songs from all her albums. Taylor Swift’s albums ranked in order from best to worst. …Ready for it?
Lover
The first album that Taylor Swift owns independently, Lover, released on Aug. 23, 2019. Lover features three other artists: The Chicks, Brendon Urie and Lover remix with Shawn Mendes. It includes the masterpieces Paper Rings, Death By A Thousand Cuts and, of course, Lover. In summary, mega slay and all around W album.
1989
1989 (Taylor’s Version) releases Oct. 27, 2023, and includes the original songs plus five vault tracks. Swifties can only hope to see Harry Styles featured in 1989 (TV). The Clean songs that put 1989 at number two consist of Style, Out of the Woods, Wonderland and New Romantics.
Folklore
Folklore tells the fictional story of Betty, James, and Augistine’s complicated love triangle through several songs. Calming and relaxing, Folklore holds the perfect homework environment music. Released on July 24, 2020, Folklore features Bon Iver in the song Exile. Invisible String, Mirrorball, and The Last Great American Dynasty rank at the top of the album.
Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)
Speak Now (TV) released on July 7, 2023, and marks Taylor owning half of her stolen albums. This album features Fall Out Boy in Electric Touch and Hayley Williams in Castles Crumbling. The Timeless tracks on Spear Now (TV) include Enchanted (TV), The Story of Us (TV), Haunted (TV) and I Can See You (TV) (From the Vault). Next chapter.
Reputation
Reputation, released on Nov. 10, 2017, currently belongs to Scooter Braun. Taylor traveled her Reputation stadium tour in 2018. This album features Ed Sheeran and Future in End Game. Call It What You Want, but reputation comes in fifth for the tracks New Year’s Day, King of my Heart and Don’t Blame Me.
Red (Taylor’s Version)
Red (TV), released in Nov. 2021, holds the best dancing songs. Gary Lightbody, Ed Sheeran, Phoebe Bridgers and Chris Stapleton feature tracks in Red (TV). The goat screaming during I Knew You Were Trouble is reminiscent of childhood. The Lucky One song that earned Red (TV) the number six seat is All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault) (Sad Girl Autumn Version) (Recorded at Long Pond Studios).
Fearless (Taylor’s Version)
Fearless (TV), the first album rerecorded by Taylor Swift to take the rights back from Scooter Braun, features artists Colbie Caillat, Maren Morris, and Keith Urban. The Way I Loved You (TV) is absolutely underrated and overshadowed by You Belong With Me (TV) and Love Story (TV), classic karaoke songs that create untouchable bonds between people.
Midnights
Midnights, released on Oct. 21, 2022, consists of diverse tracks and several extra editions, including collaborations with Lana Del Rey and Ice Spice. The jewels of the album include Maroon, Mastermind, Glitch and, of course, Karma (featuring Ice Spice).
Evermore
Evermore followed Folklore, five months later, as a surprise album. Evermore features HAIM, The National, and Bon Iver. Long Story Short, you need to listen to No Body, No Crime (featuring HAIM) and Willow.
Debut
Debut, also known as Taylor Swift, released Oct. 24, 2006. Like Fearless (TV), Debut holds karaoke songs with lyrics you’ll never forget. The perfect bonding activity consists of screaming Picture to Burn or Our Song at the top of your lungs. Tim McGraw and Should’ve Said No get honorable mentions as top songs of the album.
