Kristopher Bohn

Panic struck Kristopher Bohn as he searched for a way to fix the broken sink. He checked the faucet and other possible sources of the dilemma. Then he found the problem. The flow pipes were stopped up. After a quick fix, the pipes were clean and his first business maintenance job was a success.

“I’ve gained a vast amount of knowledge,” Bohn said. “I came from being a kid knowing nothing about any of that, and now I know how to do building upkeep and plumbing and everything.”

Bohn’s unique job all started with a friendship. He previously worked at a restaurant named Hollers where he met Ron Simmons. Simmons became Bohn’s mentor, and taught him all about maintenance. They then decided to start a business incorporating all Bohn had learned.

“I definitely look up to him. I hope to be someone like him when I get older, because he knows just about everything,” said Bohn.

After he trailed behind Simmons, took in information, and learned the ins and outs of business upkeep, Bohn was prepared to do the job on his own. Although he sometimes felt uncomfortable in unfamiliar environments, he was never too intimidated to give up.

“I get contracted out by different hospitals, and sometimes it’s a little weird going into a different hospital,” said Bohn

Bohn has found a way to take the things he’s learned in football, his favorite hobby, and apply them to his business.

“The coaches here taught us to never quit and do our best, and that is what I do at my job,” Bohn said.

If Bohn stays here after graduation he will most likely continue his business, but he dreams of getting into the air force academy and becoming a pilot. He will have to leave his job behind to pursue his dream, but there are some things he will take with him.

“Dedication, learning ability, just being able to be taught how to do everything, and hard work are all things I can use in my future career,” Bohn said.
