Senior Kristen Weems bounces the ball off the bottom of her racket. After a perfect serve into the right hand corner of her opponents service box she smiles in rejoicement as she celebrates the first ace of the game.

When did you start playing tennis?
“I started playing when I was eight.”

Why did you choose to play tennis?
“I tried a bunch of other sports and I liked it the most.”

What’s your favorite part?
“The people. They’re all funny and stay positive all the time.”

Future plans?
“I want to play college tennis.”
When you’re down in a match what are you thinking about?
“I try to think about what I can change so I can play better.”

How has it changed over the past years?
“At the beginning a lot of the older players came from different schools and fought a lot. Now everyone gets along pretty well. It’s a lot more fun now.”

How would you describe Legacy tennis?
“Legacy tennis is awesome because we have the craziest people on the team and the best sport stories.”
