Jessica Molina

Senior Jessica Molina can almost feel the last day of the school year here. As everyday passes her excitement grows bigger and bigger knowing graduation nearing, her life beginning and not having to be in highschool anymore. After high school Molina plans on going to Tarrant County Community College (TCC).

“TCC is the easier way to go because it’s cheaper and it still gives you the same amount of education that any other college would,” Molina said.

With her mom a special education teacher, Molina wants to major in special education. Being involved around special need students her whole life gave her a passion for wanting to help them.

“I want to be able to help them,” Molina said. “I feel like they get mistreated in class because teachers get frustrated with them and I don’t want to be that type of person.”

Molina’s biggest challenge she’ll face will be passing her classes. With there being a different environment in college, most teachers expect the students to learn the subject right on. Because of this Molina will most miss having one-on-one relationships teachers, especially IPC teacher Anthony Wilde.

“I never really understood science,” Molina said “When I had [Mr. Wilde] he actually took the time out and helped me understand something, and if I had to stay after school he would too. In college, it’s going to be weird not having some type of relationship with teachers,”

Molina plans on staying in Texas because of family, friends and financial situations. According to Molina, she and her parents have a agreement. Since Molina plans on living with parents, she will be responsible for paying her tuition and her parents for everything else. Molina hopes to move out in at least two years.

“If I’m somewhere else far away, I know I will have to pay my own bills and food, but since I’m going to live with my parents, they pay all that for me,” Molina said.

Oh, I'm a senior (if any of you guys even care...). I’ve been staring at this computer trying to figure out what to say, and I honestly cannot think of anything. I'm sorry I got your hopes up.
