Sophomore Madison Ross is more than a dancer, although she is a member of the Legacy High School drill team and she has danced since she could remember. A straight A student throughout her school career, Ross prides herself in her schoolwork. Juggling extracurricular activities with schoolwork is what she has on her schedule. Some nights, it takes her up until two or three in the morning to get all of her work done.
Along with being devoted to school, Ross has the mindset to be a doctor. She plans to pursue a career as an anesthesiologist.
“I’ve wanted to be a doctor for a very long time. Specifically an anesthesiologist,” Ross said. “But it will require a lot of work with people and a good amount of math, too.”
She’s hoping to get a scholarship somewhere, but wants to attend the University of Texas.
“They are my favorite college team,” Ross said, “and I would like to be a part of their program.”
Madison had family who attended UT. Two uncles and an aunt went there, and she wants to keep the family tradition going.
“I’m open to anything that would benefit me and what I would like to do,” Ross said.
