The JV volleyball team played at home Friday night taking two of the three matches against Lamar High School for a win.
“We were proud. It was one of our first home games. We actually got to defend our court,” sophomore team captain Lauren Johnson said.
The Broncos did not win the first match, but they came back in match two with a win 25-22.
“It wasn’t like they had us. We usually win the last two. We are slow starters,” Johnson said.
At the beginning of match number three Sophomore Samantha McDonald spiked the ball on Lamar.
“Spiking feels like your on top of the volleyball net,” McDonald said.“Winning feels a whole lot better than losing.”
