Helping others in our community should be something everyone does from time to time. Whether you need community service hours or not, here are some ideas.
Mission Arlington
Help by folding clothes, stocking shelves, or whatever else they may need done.
Animal Shelter
Help out some local furry friends by donating food, blankets or toys.
Library
You can help the librarians by shelving and organizing books, plus you will gain valuable experience as to how a library is run.
Local Nursing Home
Visit the residents and make conversation, some of them don’t have anyone else.
Meals on Wheels
Deliver meals to elderly and shut-ins and keep them company for a little while.
Babysit or Do Yard Work for Free
Reach out to that neighbor you know could use some help.
Hospital
Ages fourteen and older can apply to be a volunteer at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. It’s a great chance to brighten a patient’s day.
Work at Church or Community Events
Look around for upcoming festivals and events that might need extra help.
Clean Up Parks and Roads
Take a few friends along and make the outdoors a more beautiful place.
