A day meant for love and showing appreciation, Valentine’s Day starts by giving a special someone the card to show it. The ideas listed below show several ways to make unique and interesting cards that anyone can enjoy.
With just a pencil, glue, the right color card and red strips of paper, you can create this elegantly simple card. To start, fold the red strip in half and curl the ends by wrapping them around a pencil, then let it stay for a couple of hours. Afterward, take the pencil away and glue the heart to the card.
A simple idea, yet so cute and yummy. Grab a plastic bag, some googly eyes, paper and kisses. The only challenge with this one will be ignoring the temptation to eat the kisses. Get some small (three inch by four inch) bags and write “I have my (insert googly eyes here) on you my Valentine!” End by placing the kisses inside the bag, stapling it and giving it to a loved friend or family member.
Hand Printed Heart
Only three materials will be needed for this one, paint, paper and your hands. A heart can be made with hands by connecting the thumbs and the pointer fingers together. Once dipped in paint and pressed onto the card, a little love note can be written in the middle of the heart.
A way to show someone that your heart literally “pops” out for them. Follow the instructions from the link above and make someone’s day.
Another addition to googly-eye love comes the “Eye” Love You card. Using any size card, cut a hole the shape of an appropriately-sized googly eye and add the words “love you” underneath it. Then, put the eye inside the card and line it up with the hole you cut earlier. The final step would be to add a thoughtful love note.
This list serves the purpose of telling a person how much you love them and why. It can be any style of card and any theme you want to make it. Simply write “I love you because…” at the top and begin with the list of appreciation.
Water Bottle Flowers
For those who have loved ones that have a love for flowers, this arts creates a unique idea of using a water bottle in another way other than drinking or recycling. With some paint and a simple water bottle, flowers can be made from dipping the bottom of the water bottle into paint and put onto a card or paper.

I love reading the Rider online. The 7 Valentine’s Day Card Ideas was great and I loved the different ideas that are very economical to create.
The Rider has some very creative writers.
