With extracurricular classes and busy schedules, many people don’t do the things they need to do to succeed. Check out these tips to make sure you accomplish what you want to this school year.

Do Your Homework
Homework often makes up a good chunk of the overall grades. Finishing it can be the difference between passing and failing a class, so make sure to complete it correctly each night.

Remember Your iPad
Most teachers use iPads in class on a regular basis. Without an iPad, it may become difficult to access to materials needed for assignments, so always have it charged and ready-to-go while at school.

Follow Dress Code
Someone who does not follow the dress code may be sent out of class or even home. Not being in class means missing important information, which can get you behind on classwork and hinder you from being successful.

Ask For Help
Even the smartest students have trouble sometimes. Never hesitate to go to tutorials to get the help needed to understand the material and raise your grade. Bring a tutoring incentive sheet for extra credit as well. If other activities get in the way of getting to tutoring, or you would simply like extra help, you could join or form a study group with some of your friends to make sure everyone gets the help they need.

Keep Up With Due Dates
Write in a planner or use an app to help keep up with homework, due dates and test dates. This helps with organization, reminds you about assignments and lets you know which subject to study for and when.

Get Enough Sleep
On the night before a test, some people stay up late studying, trying to get the information down. A study by researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles shows that, instead of helping, this can keep the brain from retaining the information that was studied. Studying for a shorter period of time and getting more sleep will be more helpful than staying up all night to cram the information into your head.

Do Not Procrastinate
Procrastination leads to sub-par work and extra stress. Doing assignments in smaller chunks makes it much easier to focus on the task at hand and lessens the workload for each night.
