Early in the morning coaches and runners will show up and won’t go home until late that night. Coaches simultaneously dread and look forward to Saturday’s track meet while the runners look forward to meeting the competition. This meet is one of the largest meets in the metroplex. The meet consists of runners from all over the district who lead in the events they run. Coaches wait anxiously for the meet to come and see how all of the athletes do.
Feb. 20 Legacy will be hosting the annual Bronco Relay. The meet starts at 7:30 a.m. and will go to 7:30 p.m. The meet will consist of 14 schools from around the Mansfield area as well as schools from other districts such as Corsicana.
“There are so many moving parts,” Coach Bates said. “But I am anxious and excited to see how Legacy does.”
