Rose Watch: Week Six

The Bachelors 22st season airs on ABC every Monday at 8/7c
The Bachelor’s 22st season airs on ABC every Monday at 8/7c

[WARNING: SPOILERS FOR LAST MONDAY’S EPISODE OF THE BACHELOR]

Here’s the previous weeks of Rose Watch in case you missed it.

Welcome again to another exciting week of ABC’s The Bachelor.

EVERYONE’S GONE.

Jaimi, Alexis, Josephine (who?), Whitney (WHO?), Jasmine G.  and Danielle L all were sent home. That’s HALF THE CONTESTANTS.

This week, we’re on the St. Thomas Island. It doesn’t even matter anymore, let’s get right into the dates.

THE DATES

  • KRISTINA’S DATE

We forgot about Kristina until this episode, and this date made sure we’d never forget her. Nick and Kristina start the day off by hopping in a sea plane as they fly around the island. A Bachelor date involving two people in a cramped plane and/or helicopter? What is this? Every Bachelor date?

During dinner, Kristina proceeds to tell Nick her incredibly sad life story. As a child in Russia, she used to eat lipstick because she was so hungry. At age 7, she left her family and stayed at an orphanage until she moved to the U.S. It’s an honestly heartwarming story, but it makes me think: almost every girl on this show is too good for Nick. Well, except for Corinne.

  • BEACH DATE

To be honest, I don’t remember anything from this date. They played volleyball? Jasmine G. gets mad at Nick for not including her, and tries to choke him, so he kicks her out. The end.

  • (ANOTHER) TWO ON ONE SPECTACULAR

Last week we explained the pageantry, the mystery and the infamy of the two on one date. For the second week in a row, we’re treated to a two on one. Whitney, whom I have never seen in my life, and Danielle L., who has ranked #3 only two weeks ago, were sent to a remote island, not unlike last week. Nick tells both women he doesn’t have any feelings for them, and they’re both sent home.

Back at the place where the other women are staying, Nick comes home in tears over what he had to do. It’s dramatic, but it seems like Nick wants to actually find love and not just be trapped in this Bachelor/Bachelorette ecosystem/hellscape.

It’s time once again for the BACHELOR POWER RANKINGS where we can rank each contestant. To rank high on our list, you have to be a mix of entertaining, funny, genuine and you have to actually seem like you might have a chance at winning Nick’s love. We’re down to SIX women.

POWER RANKINGS

#1. RACHEL (#1 LAST WEEK)
I love Rachel. How can you not love Rachel? She is the realest person on the show. She’s not afraid to tell Nick exactly how she’s feeling. She even admitted to Nick that this environment is not her element, and she even thought about going home. This is a crazy environment, and no one should be use to it.

#2 KRISTINA (#UNRANKED LAST WEEK)
Kristina is the ultimate underdog. We didn’t even know who she was until two weeks ago, now she’s going on a one on one and getting a rose. I still don’t think she’ll win, but she has a good shot of making it to the hometown dates.

#3 CORINNE (#3 LAST WEEK)
Every week I love Corinne a little more. I use to hate her but I can’t help but relate to her. She makes for great television, but I don’t think she’ll be on much longer.

#4 VANESSA (#6 LAST WEEK)
I love Vanessa, and I think she’ll make it far. Lately she’s been falling behind. I haven’t really noticed her, and I feel like she never gets time with Nick. Hopefully in the next few weeks Nick pays attention to her, or she’ll be going home.

#5. DANIELLE M. (#2 LAST WEEK)
I use to love Danielle M. She was my favorite, but now I’m just annoyed with her. I feel like she’s so boring and whiny. I don’t think Nick is really into her anymore either. Honestly Nick doesn’t seem into anyone at this point.

#6. RAVEN (#4 LAST WEEK)
I fell in love with Raven when she told the story about her past, but she’s also falling behind. I feel like the only girls they show now are Rachel and Corinne. Raven needs to do something extravagant next week to receive Nick’s attention.

Will Nick ever find true love? Will he eliminate another six women and be stuck with zero? Is anyone reading this? Find out next week on ROSE WATCH.

Watch The Bachelor on ABC every monday at 8/7c.
