The Mansfield ISD Annual College and Career Night takes place at the Center of Performing Arts on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. Seminars at The Center begin at 6:15 and 7:30 p.m. Students can attend three different seminars, the ACT vs. SAT seminar located in the East Lecture Hall, Preparing for College and financial aid focus seminar located in the West Lecture Hall and College Student Panel seminar located in the Large Training Lab.
In order to avoid long lines at the college fair, students will need to register online and check the box marked TACRAO then click Register Now.
“The importance of attending is to meet college representatives face to face,” Counselor Lisa Fields said. “Students will gain exposure to a variety of post-secondary institutions across the country.”
Students are advised to bring their barcode to present to representatives, as well as a pencil, paper and notepad.
“Students should use this time as an opportunity to do a ‘mini-interview’ with various universities of interest and see it as they are conducting their own ‘mini-interviews,’” Fields said. “Students will receive answers to individual questions in the counseling center as well as learn from experts conducting special interest sessions.”
