Freshman Leanne Flores glances at the net as she begins to set a serve. The crowd cheering her on and her teammate’s approval is all she needs to get her game face on.
“Our volleyball team puts the best in beast. We do it real big,” Flores said.
Flores teammates think highly of her, but expect a lot out of her as well.
“She has great leadership skills and always has good advice for volleyball,” Elizabeth Shine said. “She’s also a great and honest friend.”
Flores thinks Volleyball takes practice and not every part of the game comes naturally.
“It takes time and effort and you have to be prepared and ready to play,” Flores said.
Outside of volleyball Flores attends Retta Baptist church and enjoys being with her friends.
“Volleyball means a lot, but I would like to think I have my priorities straight,” Flores said. “God will always come first.”
