When Samantha Streeter’s face isn’t breaking a sweat from practice, she’s usually painting her face with make-up for the big show.
Senior Streeter is one of our drill team’s three officers for the Silver Spurs.
“Dancing is pretty much my life.” Streeter said. “I’ve got expectations, so I give my best effort to show what I can do.”
Streeter started drill team as a freshman at Summit and a year later became a Silver Spur.
“I love being a Silver Spur, the title itself gives a hint of pride and integrity,” Streeter said.
Streeter has set high goals for herself like to become a pediatrician. She’s working harder than ever to get there and already has a head start as a certified CNA.
“I am quite aware of what’s ahead of me. I’m actually really excited to go to college,” Streeter said. “It’s another one of those adventures that you just have to go for yourself to get the real feel of it.”
Streeter plans to go to A&M or Texas Tech and major in nursing.
“I’ll never forget high school and I can fully say I’ve been there, done that, but from here on out is where it gets real and I’m ready,” Streeter said.
