On Sat. Oct. 16, the marching band will compete in the HEB Marching Contest. Projected to place first according to txbands.com, the Legacy marching band will perform their ending segment for the first time at a contest this season.
“It’s going to be an easy contest. It’s another practice for when we go to area. We will perform fairly well,” senior drum major Miroslava Medrano said. “We’ve been rehearsing efficiently. We will definitely perform better then at Birdville. We have a lot more things worked out than at Birdville and we finally have our ending.”
The band will meet at the band hall at 8:45 a.m. and compete around noon.
“We will be awesome,” junior Nick Weith said. “The other bands are not on our level of expertise. We have been working really hard and we deserve to do good.”
