At 7:55 a.m. this morning, Olivia Nolley (2010 LUCK week beneficiary) passed away. Her mother Judy and sister Alicia were there to pray with her. The Legacy community mourns with the Nolley family in the loss of a true hero.
Student Council delivered this message:
“Last year, Legacy High School had a very inspirational week in February when the entire school came together and raised $24,000 in a matter of only 4, short days to help a 10-year-old girl named Olivia Nolley suffering from terminal cancer. At the beginning of December, doctors gave Olivia 3 months to live, however she exceeded every doctors expectations by 7 months but ended her fight this morning around 7:55 a.m. Princess Olivia will always be remembered as a purple loving, butterfly adoring, die-hard Taylor Swift fan that never failed to bring smiles to the room no matter how much pain she was in.
Now it is time, Bronco Nation, to unite once again for a cause that is greater than ourselves and to remember Olivia Nolley not only as a service project, but as the light and the reason for unity at Legacy High School. In remembrance of Olivia, the entire student body of Legacy High School will be wearing purple tomorrow not only in honor of her favorite color, but in honor of her as well. Although Olivia is not here on Earth with us anymore, she will forever live in the hearts of our students and the many lives she has touched in her 11, short years. We will forever love and remember our Legacy angel, Olivia Nolley.”
