All Legacy dance classes, including the Silver Spurs, will perform a recital Thu, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Willie Pigg Auditorium with free admission. Each class will perform two routine, with tryouts determining solo pieces. The routines are based off the jazz and lyrical dances the classes have studied during the fall semester.
Dance instructor Brooke Parlin choreographed half of the class’s routines, while her maternity substitute created the others during her leave of absence. She decided on performing in the Willie Pigg Auditorium due to the lack of space in the PAC.
“It’s harder to get the kids over at Willie Pigg, dressed and ready for rehersal on time versus staying after school,” Mrs. Parlin said, “but in previous years there were never enough seats. People would be standing on the isle while we tried to dance down it to get to the stage.”
