Student Council’s daily Coffee Corral began as a timely fundraiser, but has turned into a morning routine for the sophomore and junior officers.
“It’s a great start to a lot of kid’s days,” junior Elizabeth Kobty said. “It’s just one more way we make our school better.”
During winter, the Coffee Corral sold coffee, hot chocolate and doughnuts. For spring, the Corral will bring in new products like juices and milks instead of warm drinks. The sophomore and junior officers created a schedule for themselves to raise money for Student Council for workshops, t-shirts and community projects. Coffee Corral opens at 6:45 every morning and closes at 7:15. All of the products cost $1.
“I like how we can provide a quality coffee service to our students and staff to help us raise money that goes directly back to our school,” Student Council sponsor, Dena Schimming said.
