With one week left to order senior class shirts, senior class sponsor Stephanie Shackelford collects money and order forms as they come in.
“There is a sense of unity and pride that go along with them [the senior shirts]. There is the pride of ‘I’m a senior,’” Mrs. Shackelford said. “ When you see everyone wearing them on Oct. 5 for the picture it is really neat.”
Order forms may be found outside of Mrs. Shackelford’s door at classroom A-T217. T-shirts sell for ten dollars each and from adult sizes small to a triple extra large. If paying by check, make it out to LHS with the student’s name and ID number on the memo line. With a Sept. 23 deadline, shirts are expected by delivery by Oct. 3. Seniors who ordered a shirt should wear them on Oct. 5 when taking the panoramic photo.
“You’d be surprised how empowering it is for the class when they see so many of them [the shirts] in their class photo,” Mrs. Shackelford said.
