Senior Josh Highland and other students will work at the fall festival on Oct. 29, from 4-9 p.m. reenacting scenes from popular Disney movies, such as the Jungle Book, Peter Pan, and the Three Musketeers. The festival is located at Vernon Newsom Stadium, including free admission, food, games, and is available for people of all ages. Acting as Sherekhan from the Jungle Book, Highland expects a great experience out of it.
“It will be a lot of work, considering I’m going to be dressing up into a cat costume for hours, pantomiming a children’s story,” Highland said. “It will be a lot of fun to make children happy.”
The festival will include a petting zoo, pony rides, a Disney-themed hayride, and many other things for kids. Some activities do have a minimal cost and tickets will be sold. Vendors will be face painting and there will be plenty of carnival food to eat, such as turkey legs, hot dogs, hamburgers, funnel cakes and fried Oreo cookies.
