Art Club will hold a fundraiser from Feb. 1-10, selling Valentine Balloon Bouquets ranging from $5-$25 depending on the type and size of the balloons. Samples of the bouquets will be out in the cafeteria to choose from, including eight different types of bouquet- varying in latex, decorative and foil balloons- which come in English and Spanish.
They will be distributed first and second period on Valentine’s Day. A schedule of the person being given the bouquet must be provided with the purchase. If a separate item was purchased at a store for the person receiving the bouquet, the item can be distributed with the bouquet free of charge, but must be turned in before Feb. 10. Along with the purchase, a card is provided with the bouquet to fill out. Payments for the bouquets must be turned in before Feb. 10 to Mr. Mason, the cafeteria, or Mrs. James.
Continuing the Balloon Bouquets next year or for any other events, such as graduation or birthday’s is a possibility depending on how well the balloons sell for Valentine’s Day. The fundraiser was started for the club, but now focuses on art teacher Jessica Louviere, who is in the hospital, to help with her medical expenses and groceries.
