Students prepare themselves for summer fun, but for those enrolling in summer school, the fun will have to wait. As the school year comes to a close, summer school is marked on the forefront of students’ calendars.
Students take summer school to recover credit, take acceleration courses, or get a class out of the way to free up their schedule during the school year.
“Students can protect their future course selections by taking summer school,” Counselor John Williams said. “Especially if they are taking summer school for classes that they have failed.”
Summer school will take place at Timberview High School from June 17 – July 3 and will continue from July 8-11. Individuals can choose from several different courses to regain credits, or get classes out of the way for the upcoming school year. For all students attending summer school, the cost is $150 for every half credit.
If partakers cannot attend Timberview High School, they can take a Virtual School Acceleration Course that requires the student to be on campus only for the midterm and final exams.
