Legacy, Lake Ridge and Timberview have extended their library hours for students to have extra study time during after school hours. Students must present their current school ID card and enter through the external entrances. Mansfield and Summit lack external entrances and cannot participate.
“I like that they are being changed,” Librarian Ms. Pamela Pinkerton said. “The students are actually using the library after school.”
Students may access the libraries between the hours of 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Each school’s library opens its doors to students on different days; Legacy on Mondays, Lake Ridge on Tuesdays and Timberview on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
“The kids are very well-behaved; they’re quiet,” Ms. Pinkerton said.
