Legacy Theatre presents Mission: Improvable in the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Admission is five dollars for everyone, and all proceeds go towards Pinkfest funds. The Improv Troupe, Mrs. Hurst, Mrs. Schimming, Mr. Ferman and Student Council members, will participate. In the past Pinkfest Improv has raised $1200 for breast cancer awareness.
“It’s our way of helping donation funds for Pinkfest,” Mr. Ferman said. “Students will have pink buckets and ask for spare change to add to admission prices.”
The Legacy Theater Department holds auditions for Urinetown: The Musical on Oct. 22 and 23. Callbacks will be Thursday, Oct. 24. The musical takes place in a town stuck in a 20 year drought, and its residents have to pay taxes to use the bathroom. The story revolves around the characters fighting for what they believe in during a revolution. At least 22 cast members will be chosen. Audition types include singing, acting and dancing. All participants must perform two memorized songs posted on the theater department’s website.
